undefinedSpace Yacht - an international party brand - is making preparations to launch its second collection of nonfungible token artworks on the Nifty Gateway marketplace on Wednesday. 

The "Space Yacht Iconography Collection" covers three of the brand’s core themes: pizza, smiley faces and its trademarked motto. Meanwhile, the artworks integrate original music from Space Yacht co-founder Rami Perlman, aka LondonBridge.

Last year, Space Yacht organized more than 150 electronic dance music (EDM) events globally each year. But the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic led the events industry to almost shut down. 

The brand stepped into the digital sector via launching a record label, signing artists that would previously have opened at their events. But Space Yacht partnered with Goldweard - a renowned digital artist - to drop its first NFT collection this summer. This was the fastest selling NFT on the Nifty Gateway marketplace that more than 230 pieces sold in just two minutes and 28 seconds. 

The brand hopes to follow its success a second time around with the Iconography collection. As a physical art collector for 15 years, Perlman treats digital art as an exhilarating extension of this, noting:

"The more people who get into it, the more viability it has for the future. We are confident that NFTs will become a force within the industry and a new way for musicians and digital artists to monetize their work."

Deadmau5 - an electronic music producer and DJ - along with Sutu - an augmented reality designer - sold their one-of-one collaboration "In Titan's Light" for 78 Ether (roughly $50,000 at current prices) last week. At the same time, Producer Guy J has engaged in the blockchain sector so as to sell the rights to future streaming royalties.
