As per a Dec. 17 announcement, Spanish professional football club Real Madrid Club de Fútbo (colloquially known as just Real Madrid) has become the latest team to join Sorare - a blockchain-based fantasy football platform.

Sorare, the blockchain-enabled fantasy soccer game, has signed a licensing agreement with a French leading club Paris Saint-Genmain(PSG), enabling it to tokenize the club’s past and present soccer players, like David Beckham, Kylian Mbappe as well as Neymar.

MLS fans will now be able to collect and trade digital cards representing league players and use them to play fantasy soccer games run by the firm Sorare.

Sorare is a fantasy football game based on the Ethereum blockchain, which allows users to gather cards based on professional players and compete with each other. Today, Sorare announced that it has raised $4 million in seed funding.
